Thought I’d share this video I shot at the American Association of Diabetes Educators Annual Meeting in Atlanta last week. During the meeting, I struck up a relationship with two trade press editors who I connected with on Twitter -- Miriam E. Walker, senior writer for Elsevier Medical News Network/Clinical Endocrinology News-- @MiriamETucker and David Edelman is the editor/author of Diabetesdaily.com, a website for patients with diabetes. You can follow him @diabetesdaily.
Both of these pros stood out at the meeting as writers and Twitter experts who had figured out a positive way to use Twitter. So, I asked them if they would sit for an interview while I was there. Below you can watch the video I shot of them to see how they used Twitter and why they thought it was important.
I should also note that my client was a bit skeptical of Twitter before the meeting, warmed up to Twitter as a solid PR tool because they saw how I was forming beneficial relationships with key trade press editors. As with many tools, Twitter’s proof is in its delicious chocolaty pudding!
